Your words are end-to-end encrypted.
The words of your agreements, goals, reflections, and journals are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it. The server stores only ciphertext, so a database leak, an administrator, or the hosting provider cannot read what you wrote.
We are honest about the line: EmberPact protects your words. It is not a claim that every last detail is invisible. Your data lives in the EU, and your partner is your backup if you lose your phone.

Questions
Is it really private? +
Yes. The words of your agreements, goals, reflections, and journals are encrypted on your device before they leave it, so the server only ever stores ciphertext. A leak, an admin, or the host cannot read them.
What if we break up? +
Either partner can end the shared Pact. That wipes the shared copy on the server and stops syncing. Any copy already on a device stays under that person’s control until they delete it.
What if I lose my phone? +
Your partner is your backup. As long as one of you still has a device, the other can sign back in and restore the Pact.
Do we both need it? +
Yes. EmberPact is one shared home for two people. You each install it, pair once, and share the same living document.
Is this couples therapy? +
No. EmberPact is your own system, not a set of lessons. It gives you the structure to run your relationship on purpose; the words and the work are yours.
